This poem is an inspiration of the heavy untimely(a relief tho..) rains that lashed through out yesterday.. i call this one
Summer's First Showers
Sun's tyranny
Seemed infinite
Scorching majestically
To death,all in its path
An inferno incessant
Mercury danced alongside 40
Chaos surrounded
A savior was awaited
Out of unknown horizons
Came dark shadows
Of hope
Of life
Time froze
Everything went into oblivion
A drop fell
Another fell, soon many..
Pearls from Shangri-La
Quenching thirsts
Refreshing lives
Summer's First Showers
Aroma of the first rains
Ethereal aphrodisiac
Earth cried out in consummation
Transcending pleasures
Skies thundered
Rains lashed
Blazing sun
Succumbed defeat
Cool breeze swooped
Azure tranquil sky
Rainbows arose
Life Flourished

hey, rain has always fascinated me... and first showers are the best any year... so too is this poem...gr8 start... looking fwd for many...
