No Country For Old Men

As i promised i'm back with a post on No Country For Old Men.. Well the movie stands out for its title..if you think its a movie on some bunch of old idiots.. you are mistaken, except for Tommy Lee Jones and couple of others who die.. this movie is not really abt old ppl.

The movie is abt a psychopath killer..his weapon.. an oxygen cylinder and a nozzle. His style of killing ppl is unprecedented..he shoots them with a blast of high pressure gas through a small nozzle..(No wonder Hollywood has inspired inventions and psychos)

Well the Coen brothers have made this movie to prove all movie goers think twice before predicting a storyline. The movie takes strange turns at untold points. You keep wondering "Ah look out..at last this man is gonna get killed".. but there you go ..you are wrong.. bad men never die(pun intended)..

This movie keeps you chewing your fingernails(well atleast my nails are done with) as well as toenails if you are hungry. The only thing(There are other things too) I could decipher of a strong Texas accent is that there are lots of crazy ppl out there.. Beware..

The technicals of the movie are strong(could be a reason y it won Oscar)... dark scenes throughout.. screenplay..direction(of course) and acting.. Story as i said is not appalling..
Its an adaptation of a novel of the same name by American author Cormac McCarthy.

Intended audience: (psychopaths.. tutorial on ways to kill) not any average Indian..
I recommend this to ppl who are strong fanatics of english movies.. ppl who want to kill some time (ppl like me)... also ppl who boast of watching every Oscar winning movie
(again ppl like me)..

current mood:ecstatic

Charlie Wilson's War

Abhi was always asking me to download a certain movie.."Macha! its great.. Tom Hanks Julia Roberts and even Om Puri.. i don kno the name..search for it dude.."
Then i was like "Dude.. nfs prostreet is still on.. i'll think abt it"..

On 11 our internals was over.Kishore and myself went to return a cd at the parlor .
("No Country for Old Men" I watched it the day before.. HELLO! studying for internals would have been better..i wonder why was it given an Oscar...wait for my blog on that)..

I picked Southland Tales(another stupid movie) while Kishore saw Julia on the cover and took this cd.. Never stopped loving ever since.(Now i'm actually reading the biography online..)

Based on a true story of Texas Democratic Congressman Charlie Wilson, an adaptation of a biography of the same name written by George Crile, this movie is wonderful.

I think its the real story thats put the charm in this one else "boo-hoo the movie is bad for a fiction".. i mean everyone has done their job perfectly well but the story gets the honors.

(Backdrop 1979..height of the cold war..Soviet a huge communist country is expanding frontiers..) Soviet attacks Afghanistan with all their sophisticated weapons ,the guerrilla mujahideen struggles to put up a fight. Charlie ,an unorthodox senator with controversial habits and an opulent sex life, plans this secret war with a rogue CIA agent Gust.

Charlie was the House Defense Appropriation Committee member and increases the CIA covert operations budget gradually from an initial $5 million(ppl around the world thought it was a joke) to a whopping $1 billion. Its actually believable that CIA could undertake such a covert mission, but at the height of the cold war it should have been impossible.

I recommend this movie to all those lazy people who cant read.. others go to this link and read the biography its wonderful.
